BMC has now officially released SDE patch 9.80.159 with IE8 support for SDE included.
If you have a valid FTP account the patch can be downloaded from our ftp server.

IE 8 support will also be available as a hotfix for APM customers on SDE 9.8. Expected release date for these patches will be in a few weeks. We will post the official release on our website as soon as they become available.
